Career Highlights

Dennis Kasey was a 1978 Kokomo High School graduate, a lifelong Howard County resident and a founding board member of the Howard County Sports Hall of Fame.

Kasey gained fame around the state as the sports director at WHMB-TV in Noblesville, where he produced the station’s popular High School Game of the Week. The first game he produced was the December 1989 game between Brebeuf and Lawrence North, which featured future NBA players Alan Henderson and Eric Montross.

In his broadcasting career, Kasey produced more than 1,500 high school sporting events, including 80 IHSAA state championship games. He also produced Indianapolis Indians baseball games as well as college sporting events across the state.

Along with his twin brother David, he operated the Indiana Sports Magazine and was a contributing sports writer at The Sports Page and the Kokomo Tribune.

Kasey earned the 2010 IHSAA Distinguished Media Services Award and was renowned for his sports trivia knowledge.
