Career Highlights

Cari Stover-Richards is one of the best-known names in the illustrious history of Kokomo Lady Wildkats basketball history.

A four-year starter, Stover helped lead the Lady Kats to a pair of state championships before being named an Indiana All-Star in 1993. During her career, she finished with 923 points, 515 rebounds, 142 assists and 130 steals.

She played in 91 games and finished with a 48.9-percent field goal percentage and set a then-school record 43.8 three-point shooting percentage. She was named the Lady Kats Mental Attitude Award winner her senior season.

Playing with fellow Howard County Sports Hall of Fame legends Tiffany Longworth and Mistina Oliver, Stover and the Lady Kats were 94-7 with four 20-win seasons. Kokomo won three North Central Conference championships, four sectionals, three regionals, two semi-states and a pair of IHSAA single-class state championships. In 27 wins during her senior year, the Lady Kats won 24 of those by 20 or more points.

Stover played college basketball at Valparaiso University from 1995-1997. She was named to the Mid-Continent Conference All-Academic Team after the 1996-97 season.
